We recently returned to Sárti and visited Lauer House again — a restaurant we had already enjoyed in 2014 and 2015. After 11 years, we were absolutely delighted to discover that the warm hospitality we remembered was still there. What touched us most was that Jannis, the owner, still remembered us after all these years! From the very first moment, we felt genuinely welcome, almost as if we had never been away. Jannis and his mother, who still run the restaurant together, are incredibly warm, friendly and hospitable. The service is excellent and the food was really very good. It was wonderful to see that Lauer House has become even more beautiful and has grown in size, while still keeping its special and welcoming atmosphere. One evening, we were lucky enough to experience a traditional Greek evening with bouzouki music and singing. The atmosphere was fantastic — lively, authentic and full of Greek hospitality. It was just great to coming back to Lauer House. After so many years and being remembered so warmly was something very special for both of us. Thank you, Jannis and your mother, for another wonderful experience. We will definitely remember our evenings at Lauer House — and hopefully it won’t take us another 11 years to come back! ❤️🇬🇷 Highly recommended!

We've been coming to Sarti for many years and are always delighted to visit the Lauer House Taverna. The food is simply delicious, and the welcome is warm and friendly. The owner also runs a house with apartments and a beach bar, which is very inviting and well worth a visit. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Very good little spot well located

The food is very very good. I had grilled squid and grilled fish and they were the best I've had in Greece so far. The service was very nice and the people were kind and the prices were decent. I recommend it!!

Nice location, family run restaurant, great food that was brought out quickly, a bit of a longer wait to place the order but it is because it was really busy, nothing dramatic and after that they moved really fast.

Excellent restaurant. Maybe sometimes you have to wait a little longer for food, but it's completely understandable given the crowd and occupancy.

Excellent food, just a little slow service

Very nice ambiance right on a larger square in the middle of the town. The food, from fish to meat to salads, is delicious and prepared with love. In the small kitchen, all dishes are prepared FRESH. Nice family atmosphere, mom cooks and son manages the service. Best restaurant in and around Sarti!!!

We had a lovely meal tonight at this fantastic restaurant. The food was delicious, the service, fast and friendly and the atmosphere just perfect. I have never had such an outstanding goats cheese with berry jam . The house wine was also balanced and fruity. I had the lauer special which was outstanding . Well done guys.

A restaurant different from the usual taverns in the area. Typical dishes and others, truly good. Very kind staff. The owner's son is very friendly and helpful, and he even knows a little Italian. We have been more than once and have always been very satisfied. Also, tonight there was typical Greek music played and sung live. At the end of dinner, ouzo and a small dessert were also offered. Highly recommended.

The owner was very friendly and attentive; he entertained us wonderfully and made delicious food. Even though it took a little longer than expected due to the large number of guests, he made good use of the time by involving everyone in dances and jokes. Overall, this place is highly recommended!

Very friendly staff and a truly pleasant atmosphere. Jannis, the owner, is extremely hospitable and makes you feel welcome immediately. The food was delicious, with many organic and regional ingredients. It was also served quickly. A thoroughly wonderful experience in a warm and friendly atmosphere!

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner here and, without a doubt, this has been our best dining experience so far! The atmosphere is lovely — the restaurant is located right on the main square, but it still feels relaxed and comfortable. It wasn’t overly crowded, and we could sit back, enjoy the evening and have a proper conversation. We shared a few starters, including tzatziki, stuffed vine leaves, and a salad with feta and olives, followed by a whole fresh local fish. The fish was presented to us beforehand and then freshly prepared for us. Our waiter told us that “his mama is the kitchen,” and you could genuinely taste the love and care that went into the food. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The rosé was also excellent. The service was just as wonderful as the food. Everyone was incredibly friendly, warm and attentive, and we were served very quickly. They checked on us several times to make sure everything was okay and whether we needed anything else. We were even offered an ouzo on the house during our meal and a delicious dessert on the house afterwards — such a lovely touch! After having dinner at several places here, this was by far our favourite experience. Great food, genuinely warm hospitality and a very pleasant atmosphere. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend this place!

A truly welcoming and cozy location right in the heart of Sarti. A wide selection of dishes, live music on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We had a really excellent meal and a wonderful time. Mama and her team are truly outstanding cooks.
